transformation prayer ministry
The YWAM Potchefstroom Prayer Ministry Department utilises the Transformation Prayer Ministry (formerly called Theophostic Prayer Ministry) method of ministry. This approach allows the person being counselled to identify lie-based pain and allow God’s healing power to be ministered, effectively accomplishing what years of secular counselling can’t through God’s love and peace.
The prayer ministries department’s goal is to reach broken people so that they can receive God’s freedom and peace. YWAM Potchefstroom started to train prayer ministers in 2009 and to date has trained more than 100 people how to hear from Jesus to get answers for painful beliefs.
Our vision is to be applicable and appropriate in this generation, to give people the tools to do ministry and also to get freedom from lies and pain for themselves and others.
We want to train and minster, building our group of trained ministers and releasing them in the field of ministry. Our next step is to use TPM as outreach tool in particular in African countries that have experienced traumatic violence and political unrest, as well as all over the world.
Currently we run ministry courses in the week evenings . Participants receive an official TPM international certificate after completing the practical part as well as submitting a live session video. See more info
We are currently running courses in Potchefstroom and Klerksdorp and plan to soon start with courses in Fochville , Ventersdorp and Pretoria.
We do ministry sessions for students and anyone with trauma, depression and identity issues. The method is very effective as we go to the lie in your belief system and allow Jesus to give His truth and healing on the matter. The ministers are volunteers and sometimes receive donations for sessions.
OASIS COUNSELLING CENTRE
We are also connected to the Oasis counselling centre that is part of a local Dutch Reformed church in Potchefstroom.
